Molungyimsen is in Nagaland, India. Molungyimsen is the only village in Nagaland formed with Rev. Dr. Edward Winter Clark's prayer and blessing!
The first Christians took the Freedom Path (Photo Below) to form Molungyimsen so that they can worship God freely.
Meet Our Faith Exemplars
Our faith story begins with Rev. Dr. Edward Winter Clark and Mary Mead Clark. Our ancestors heard about the love and grace of Jesus Christ and about Christian faith and hope through them.
Rev. Dr. Edward Winter Clark
Born 1830 in North East, New York. He was commissioned for the Sibsagor Mission by the American Baptist Foreign Mission Society. He was released from the Sibsagor Mission for the Naga Mission in 1876. He is the first missionary to successfully plant, grow, and spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in Nagaland.
Mary Mead Clark
Born 1832 in Amenia, New York. She was commissioned as an associate to her husband Rev. Dr. Clark. She started formal education in Nagaland and wrote the first textbook in Nagaland. She inspired Naga women to accept Jesus Christ and to be active participants in the church and mission work.
